Alternate Power Solutions is a division of Static Electric Company, founded in 1986. From our West Palm Beach headquarters, we serve the confirmed Palm Beach County footprint and selected towns in Martin and St. Lucie counties. The same team handles assessment, installation and ongoing service.

For a new system or replacement, request a free on-site assessment. We review the panel, loads and fuel supply before recommending equipment and issuing a fixed written quote. For an existing fault, request generator repair and have the model, fault message and service history ready. We also offer maintenance plans.

Standby generator installation in West Palm Beach

Installation starts with a free on-site assessment at the property. We look at the panel, the loads you want backed up and whether you have natural gas or propane, then recommend a system and issue one fixed written quote. Capacity is selected for the loads and the site; floor area alone is not a sizing calculation. Our home standby lineup is Generac Next Gen, Generac Protector and Kohler home standby systems.

One licensed company does the whole job from our Vista Parkway office: electrical licence EC13002031 and gas contractor licence #24513. The quoted scope covers the generator, pad, transfer switch, electrical connections and the natural-gas or propane work, with design and permitting before installation day. Maintenance after the installation

A standby generator that is never serviced is the one that fails on storm day. Our maintenance plans cover the annual service, a simulated-outage transfer test and a written readiness report, and plan members get storm-priority dispatch. We service permanently installed Generac and Kohler systems in West Palm Beach whoever installed them; portable generators are outside our scope.

Check the property jurisdiction before planning

The City of West Palm Beach Building Division provides a planning and permitting research tool, a Civic Access application portal and an address-based records lookup. Use the property address to establish the right jurisdiction and discuss the proposed work with the team; a West Palm Beach mailing address alone is not a permit determination.

Bring an available property survey and tell us about access, landscaping and any association requirements. Equipment placement, fuel work and approvals are property-specific. We do not promise a universal setback or permit turnaround.
